Training and capacity building
Make your teams self-sufficient with their energy data and studies
Contact usTeams able to keep their tools alive
A data reference system or a study only delivers when teams know how to use it. We train staff at government bodies, agencies and engineering firms to use energy data, carry out routine studies and administer the tools put in place.
Our training helps your teams:
- Find, understand and cite their country's energy data
- Carry out routine studies themselves, from resource to sizing
- Read studies delivered by contractors with a critical eye
- Operate and update a national reference system over time
Every course is built on the country's data and on real cases, never on generic examples.

Use energy data
The data exists, but it often goes unused because people do not know where to find it or how to read it. We teach your teams to search for it, judge its reliability and use it in their analyses and reports.
Your teams learn to:
- Search for datasets and read their metadata
- Take into account the confidence level of each value
- Analyse series with simple tools, spreadsheet or Python
Carry out routine studies
Assessing a solar resource, running a prefeasibility study or sizing a system should not always require an outside contractor. We pass on proven methods, applied step by step to projects in the country.
Topics covered:
- Solar resource and correction of satellite data
- Prefeasibility studies and cost of energy
- System sizing and critical reading of studies
Hand the tools over to the teams
When we deliver a reference system or a data catalogue, we train the teams who will operate it. They can publish a dataset, document it, update it and monitor its quality without depending on us.
The handover includes:
- Hands-on training in platform administration
- Procedures for publishing and updating data
- Support during the first months of operation

We alternate short presentations and hands-on exercises on real cases.
- 04
Follow-up
We assess what was learned and stay available after the course.
Frequently asked questions
Where do courses take place?
On your premises, in the country concerned, or remotely. Both formats can be combined.
Do participants need to know how to code?
No. Modules are adapted to the participants' level. The Python module starts from the basics.
Do courses use our own data?
Yes, whenever possible. Working on the data of your own country and projects is what makes a course useful the next day.
How long does a course last?
It depends on the objectives and the number of modules. It is set with you during the assessment.
Do participants keep the materials?
Yes. Slides, exercises and their solutions are given to participants.
