Privacy policy

Browsing this site sets no tracking cookie and builds no profile. The only personal data we process is what you send us yourself through the contact form. This document covers everything else.

01. Authoritative version

This page is an English courtesy version of the French politique de confidentialité. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

02. Browsing the site

Reading the pages, the catalog, the maps and the articles requires no account and no identifier. The site sets no advertising cookie and loads no third-party tracker, which is why there is no consent banner.

Traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free tool with no individual identifier: we see aggregates (pages viewed, countries, browser types), never a person.

03. The contact form

When you write to us through the contact form, you submit: name, email, organization (optional), inquiry type and message. Legal basis: your consent, collected through a mandatory checkbox.

  • Single purpose: answering your inquiry. No mailing list, no derived commercial use.
  • Retention: 12 months at most after submission, then deletion.
  • Where the data goes: the inquiry is stored in our Supabase database and a notification is delivered to contact@kumascience.com through ZeptoMail (Zoho). Both processors act on our instructions.
  • Bot protection: the form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the submission comes from a human. The verification token is not stored.

04. Technical logs

Like any site served through Cloudflare, security logs (IP addresses, requests) are processed by Cloudflare to protect against attacks, under Cloudflare's own retention rules. On the application side, server errors are monitored with Sentry: technical messages meant for diagnosis, not visitor profiles. No monitoring tool runs in your browser.

05. Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of the data you sent us, or withdraw your consent, by writing to contact@kumascience.com. You will get a reply within two working days, like any inquiry.

Applicable framework: the Guinean personal data protection law and, for residents of the European Union, the GDPR.

06. What the site does not do

  • No resale or commercial sharing of data, in any form.
  • No advertising, no tracking pixel, no profiling.
  • No cross-referencing of your data with external sources.

This is not a constraint we endure: the wall between computation and commerce is a design principle of the Kuma ecosystem.

07. The Kuma PV app
