Monthly direct normal irradiation, 2004-2023 (CAMS Radiation)

CAMSMonthly2004 – 202334 locationsSatellite or reanalysisCC BY 4.0

CAMS Radiation service: surface radiation derived from Meteosat with the McClear clear-sky model. Mean monthly DNI in kWh/m²/day, from February 2004.

DNI is more sensitive to aerosols than GHI: the Harmattan dust plume can cause overestimation in the dry season. Cross-check with PM10 from the same service.
